The Sour Face Twisters brand was introduced into the US retail marketplace in 1996 to capitalize upon the sour candy craze. To the surprise of many, sour candy has staying power and now makes up 20% of all non-chocolate candy sales and has grown every year. The primary consumers of non-chocolate candy are kids. Face Twisters product line is considered “kids candy” or “novelty candy”. It is also one of the original sour candy product lines in the country with the largest assortment of sour candy including over 15 different items.
